What Is Hawaii Panel All About?

Hawaii Panel is a survey site that offers an opportunity to share their opinion about the products and services in Hawaii.

Hawaii Panel is owned by Ward Research, a local research company.  It offers all Kamaaina the term used for local Hawaii residents contrary to the term “Kanaka” which used to define a person of native Hawaiian ancestry.

As the name suggests it is only limited to Hawaiin residents age 14 and above.  The panel offers the residents of Hawaii to shape the products and services by sharing their opinion.

Hawaii Panel offers you 3 different ways you can make money with:

• Paid Surveys
• Focus Group
• Referral Program

Paid Surveys:

Hawaii Panel surveys work a bit differently than other survey sites.  It is free to join, but you will get notified of the available surveys that are relevant to your profile, by email notification.  The email includes the survey URL or link, that you click and complete the survey.

As mentioned above, surveys are about the products and services in Hawaii.  Members receive points for each completed survey.  The average survey lasts for 10 to 15 minutes approximately.  Each survey consist of 35 questions and earns you 100 points.

If you want to attempt surveys, the first thing you want to keep in mind, that you might not qualify for every survey you attempt.

You may not qualify for a survey if your demographic like country is not matched with the requirement for a survey.  It also considers your gender, age, hobbies, and other things on which you get selected.  So it is crucial to fill in the profile surveys, honestly and in detail.

If you try to fill the wrong information, you will be immediately get screened out.

To get more surveys, fill the profile in as much detail as possible, your profile is the base on which you will get all the future surveys.  You need to fill in all the information regarding yourself, your family, education, hobbies and so on.

Focus Groups:

Hawaii Panel does also conducts focus groups where you need to take part in the discussion in person or online. and share your opinions.  These focus groups held these discussions in Honolulu.  So you will get an invitation for an in-person discussion if you live nearby.

Tell-A-Friend:

Hawaii Panel has a refer a friend program.  You need to provide the emails of the members you want to invite.  Hawaii Panel sends them an email invitation on your behalf.

Once the member register itself, both of you will get 100 points each.

How Do You Get Paid?

Hawaii Panel gives you two options to withdraw your money.

• Paypal
• Gift Cards

The minimum payout to withdraw your money is 500 points.  But it has a different threshold to redeem your points.

You can cash out to PayPal for 500 points, you need 1000 points for Amazon Gift Certificate 2500 points for an iTunes gift card.

How Much Money Can You Make?

The amount of money you can make depends on you, but unfortunately, Hawaii Panel has a very limited earning potential.

In their FAQ, it is clearly mentioned that you will get a survey invitation only once in 3 months, which means only 4 surveys per year.  The points you earn per survey is approximately between 25 to 100 points.  Even if you earn max 100 points per survey, you will be earning 400 points per year.  Not to forget that the minimum threshold is 500 points, which means even after working for a whole year for Hawaii Panel, you will not be able to withdraw your money.

You need to work for 12+ months, to earn your 500 points.  Not every survey is worth 100 points, so the earning potential of this site is very low.

Who can join Hawaii Panel?

Hawaii Panel is available only for Hawaii residents who are living there for minimum of 6 months.  Anyone of the age of 14 can join the site, but to withdraw your income to PayPal, you need to have 18 years old.  Paypal has the age limit of 18 years, below 18 years cannot have a Paypal account.

I’ve spent some time digging through all the layers to get into the heart of the system and discover if it’s just another scam or there is a possibility that this system works.

Is Hawaii Panel A Scam?

Hawaii Panel is not a scam, but it has very limited earning potential.  Surveys are not meant to make you big bucks, but at least it should pay you a decent amount of money.

I would not recommend Hawaii Panel, just because you will find many better opportunities to earn a decent income online.

The time you invest (or waste??) per survey can be utilized in a much better way.  Think about the possibilities like creating a Youtube video or writing a blog, which can earn you money for many years.  And if you want to learn all these Internet things, Wealthy Affiliate is the platform you should try out.  It is free to join and offers two free websites+hosting+ training.
