What Is Crowdology All About?
Crowdology is a survey site that offers an opportunity to earn you some extra bucks by sharing your opinion on different products and services.
It offers surveys that may take from 2 to 15 minutes and thereby you can earn 0.40 – $10 per survey, according to the Crowdology website.
The minimum threshold is $8 and you can withdraw your money to Paypal or can redeem to Amazon gift cards.
How Crowdology Really Works?
Crowdology works similar to most of the survey sites. Once you sign up with the Crowdology, you get invites to complete the surveys.
Once you complete the survey successfully, the amount is added to your account. You can withdraw the amount once you reach the minimum threshold of $8 or can stack up to withdraw it later.
You can also claim for Amazon gift cards if you choose to be or do not have a Paypal account. Crowdology registered its domain way back in 2008, and it seems it was paying its members regularly, as there are many members who were active for a longer period of time with it.
But if you check the internet for the Crowdology reviews, you will find lots of complaints against it. The main complaints were about non-payment and 5-minute scandal.
5 Minute Scandal of Crowdology
What is the 5-minute scandal of crowdology?
Who are familiar with survey sites, knows that you need to fill in your personal data to get registered with any survey site. You need to fill in your name, email address, postal address, hobbies and your personal interests, age, gender and so on.
Survey sites collect this information so as to provide with you a perfect survey that will meet the criteria of survey companies, so as to maximize the chances of getting invites for surveys.
Now it is clear that you will get the surveys that suit your profile but Crowdology rejecting the people after inviting them to complete the survey.
Once a member accepts the invite and started providing his opinion but after 5 minutes the member will be disqualified saying the member is not qualified for the survey.
Survey sites need your data to ensure you will get a survey that matches your profile, but it seems Crowdology misusing it. To deny survey completion to every member on the ground of “not qualify for the survey” after having detailed information of every member is dubious.
And if Crowdoloty kicking out members after 5 minutes of a survey, then it’s obvious that members will question.
If you read the last complaint carefully, you will notice the member is actually getting a survey which is not matched to his profile! So how can Crowdology kick out members of the survey, on the ground of not matching profile?
Also, there are complaints that though Crowdology claims that it gives 0.40 – $10 per survey, in reality, it gives only 0.50 – $2.50.
I’ve spent some time digging through all the layers to get into the heart of the system and discover if it’s just another scam or there is a possibility that this system works.

Crowdology offers surveys on a variety of subjects from food, fashion to the general interests of people. So the topics are ever-changing and you don’t feel bored to answer the surveys.
Legit ways of payouts:
Crowdology has Paypal and Amazon gift cards as payouts, which are very legit. If you reach the minimum threshold of $8, you can withdraw to Paypal or can redeem to Amazon gift cards.
Cons:
Less invites as time passes:
When you join Crowdology, as a new member you get a good amount of surveys to complete but as time passes you get away fewer invites to complete the surveys.
As a result, your income potential becomes less day by day.
Screened out:
As we have already seen with the help of the above screenshots, members are kicked out of surveys after 5 minutes, which is dubious. If a profile is not matched with the survey requirements, it should not be offered in the first place. Secondly, offering a survey which is not matching to a member’s profile and then screened out him is a strange way of not paying members.
Sends spammy & obtrusive emails:
This is a real serious problem with Crowdology. Many members have complained about receiving spammy and obtrusive emails, containing no survey links.
On the contrary, it has all advertisements and marketing materials.

Is Crowdology A Scam?
Crowdology is a SCAM survey site, and you should avoid it. I would not recommend Crowdology to my readers. It has too many complaints of non-payment and kicking members out of surveys, to be ignored.
No legit survey site send a mismatched survey to its members and then reject him on the basis of “you are not qualified”.
Surveys can earn you a few extra bucks but it never been my favorites as surveys are time-consuming and pay you way less than the time invested in it.
