In my last review of the Happy Color App, we discussed how coloring can help you with destressing and keeping focus. If you have not read the post, I want to summarise the importance of colouring. But before that want to share a new colouring app, and here is my Review of 2021 Mandala Coloring App.
In recent times, due to worldwide lockdown, the popularity of colouring apps started soaring. Many find coloring not only time bursting but also relaxing. Science and studies have many proofs showing its usefulness.
Some findings show that Coloring has the ability to relax the fear center of your brain, the amygdala. It gives the same state as meditating by reducing the thoughts of a restless mind. This generates mindfulness and quietness. While coloring we use both of our brain hemispheres. While logic helps us stay inside the lines, choosing colors generates a creative thought process.
You will find many colouring apps, free and paid, on Google Play. One app that I really like is 2021 Mandala Coloring App, Let’s have a quick look at it:

What Is 2021 Mandala Coloring App App All About?
Mandala Coloring is an app, which is available on Google Playstore. It is available only for Android users.
One of the biggest disappointments about this app is it has nothing to do with mandalas. When you say mandalas, you expect a particular form, generally a circle. But you will find all the random pictures that have nothing to do with mandalas.
Wikipedia defines Mandals as, “the mandala is a diagram, chart or geometric pattern that represents the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically; a time-microcosm of the universe, but it originally meant to represent wholeness and a model for the organizational structure of life itself, a cosmic diagram that shows the relation to the infinite and the world that extends beyond and within minds and bodies.”
So when I checked this 2021 Mandala app I was expecting charts or geomatical designs. On plus side, it offers 6 categories and 150+ images. It offers a colour palette to choose colours. Another useful feature that it offers is- undo and redo buttons. Many times you want to change a colour or alter anything, it’s a useful feature.

Conclusion:
2021 Mandala Coloring App has 100,000 downloads to date and has a good 4star rating of about 2,562 users. It’s beyond my understanding why the app is called Mandala, as it doesn’t have a single mandala in it. The app has a useful feature of undoing & redo and offers a colour palette to choose your own colours. But overall it has very limited pictures to choose, and if you are a fan of Mandala images, a totally disappointing app.
