It’s almost four years since I started blogging. That time we used to blog from computers or laptops. Blogging from a smartphone was not that popular then. But today you will find an app almost for everything, so no surprise even the most popular blogging platforms jumped into the bandwagon. You will find every possible blogging platform from the most popular WordPress to Tumbler in Play Store. I was curious if it is really possible to start a blog from your phone. So I decided to try some of the apps for blogging and here is my Review of the Boomer App.
In recent times, due to worldwide lockdown, almost everyone realizes the need of going online and the huge role it can play in the coming years. Blogging not only helps to express yourself, but it also creates an online and offline brand for you, which then you can monetize and create a monetary source.
First of all, it’s important to note that it’s really a tedious task to create a fully functional website on your phone. Website apps are helpful to create drafts, edit existing posts on the go. Next, these apps are useful for those people who don’t have access to computers or laptops but still want to express their creativity through blogs.
You will find many blogging apps, free and paid, on Google Play. Let’s have a quick look at Boomer:

What Is Boomer App All About?
Boomer is an app, which is available on Google Playstore & App Store. Basically with Boomer, you can build your own e-commerce store within no time. It’s really easy to build an online store with Boomer. It also offers a free one-year subscription with a ton of add ons for your shop. It offers one sub-domain, hosting, unlimited bandwidth and storage, shopping cart, SEO, Google Analytics, and all the needed extensions for an online shop.
So if you want an online store for a year check out Boomer. No doubt it’s a great option if you are just starting out. It will give you an idea of how e-commerce stores work. But remember it offers only one year of free subscription, so it can be risky. You will invest a whole year building your store and for the next year, maybe you get charged exorbitantly.
Secondly, it offers a subdomain, which means it will be under Boomer control, but you can also buy a domain through Boomer.
Boomer also has an affiliate program set up, but if it’s offering a full year of free subscription, how they are going to pay to their affiliate, definitely not from their pockets.
In the description, it mentions some app products ranging from Rs.10 to Rs.11,745.24 so maybe these are the fees that you are going to pay once your subscription ends.
Boomer mention a ton of features, one of which is unlimited posts and pages.
but at present, they are offering only 9 pages: Home, About, Offers, Catalog, Services, Gallery, What’s new, Contact us & Testimonials. So it’s quite possible that they may not provide all the features that they have listed in their app. Unlimited bandwidth and storage seem to be impossible with a free plan. You will also find many complaints from its users about it.
I would not recommend you build your website or an e-commerce store on a platform, which is not crystal clear about their pricing. Boomer has not mentioned anywhere on their website, charges for your e-commerce store once your free subscription expires.

Pros & Cons of Boomer
Pros:

- Very easy to build an e-commerce store
Cons:
- Sounds very risky
- No clear mention of prices after a free subscription
- Many false claims
- You require a good internet connection.
Conclusion:
Boomer has 100,000 downloads to date and has a 3.9-star rating of about 1838 users. The reviews say a lot about Boomer. Though it’s offering a full year of free subscription to its users, they are hardly receiving a 3.9-star rating. You will find negative reviews on their app but the good thing is Boomer is answering most of the complaints.
But definitely, I would not recommend investing your time in an app that is not clear on their prices and has many false claims. Boomer claims to give unlimited bandwidth, storage even in a free subscription which is not possible. It also offers unlimited pages, unlimited product listings which is practically not possible.
If Boomer is offering everything free and unlimited for e-commerce shops, why would people buy Shopify?

Creating a website is not a difficult task today, but you need to work consistently on your websites if you want to build a successful business. Boomer App is good if you want to know how e-commerce works or how to create an online shop. But creating an online shop has its own expenses, and no platform will give you a free subscription for a whole year. A big red flag for Boomer.
