Ambit Energy is a licensed supplier of the electricity and thereby provide electricity after the energy deregulation.

Are Ambit Energy Plans Worth Their Price?

The price of the Energy plan varies according to the various plan. Currently, Ambit Energy plans are available in California, Delaware, Connecticut, Washington, DC, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Ohio, Pennsylvania, many parts of Texas and Virginia.

If you happen to live in Canada or Japan, there’s a plan available too.  The plans are usually two-year plans for electricity, gas and/or solar services. and generally, the customers are locked into those plans for the duration.

Ambit Energy plan starts with a discounted rate per kWh of energy usage.  Though Ambit Energy says that there is no penalty for canceling the plan, many users have complained about a sudden spike in the electricity bill without reason or warning.

Ambit Energy offers a great opportunity to start your own business with it.  As an ambit representative, you sell different electricity plan to the potential customer.  At the same time, you can also help them to become an Ambit representative.

Secondly, since it’s an MLM opportunity, most of your success depends upon your marketing skills.  If your team members are active, you can earn a good amount of money, but if they are not active your earning potential is limited.

there are many complaints against Ambit Energy on the BBB site, you will see many complaints reflecting the same issue.  Ambit signs up new members on low rate fixed plan but once the duration is over, the bill get charged exorbitantly.  In most of the cases, people get overcharged.

Class Action Law Suits:

Ambit Energy was sued in a class-action lawsuit for fraud, overcharging, and misrepresenting savings in their Guaranteed Savings Plan in the state of New York. The case was settled for $26.5 million. A similar suit was also filed in Pennsylvania.

Shady Guarantee:

Ambit Energy guarantees you that your electricity will be uninterrupted during the switching process.  They really should be guaranteeing that they won’t automatically sign you up to a more expensive plan when your contract expires.

Is Ambit Energy a Scam?

Ambit Energy is an MLM company and established itself as a legit and quality brand over the years.  It is definitely not a Scam.

Also, let’s not forget the lawsuits and many complaints on the BBB website.

Most of your success is dependent on your team members, who joined under you.  Unless they are active and making sales, your earning potential is limited.

It is a proven fact that it’s very hard to earn with MLM, only a few at the top strata earns a substantial income.
